In December 13 and 14 in New York, the auction house is going to put a few of the jewelry up for bid which will showcase a total of 269 different pieces. These pieces are estimated to be around $30 million total. Several of the pieces were gifts from most of her different husbands such as Richard Burton and Mike Todd. One of the biggest and most known diamonds was the 33.19 carat Asscher cut Krupp Diamond that’s later recalled as the Elizabeth Taylor Diamond. This is the first jewel that Burton purchased for his new wife Taylor. There are more gifts from Burton to Taylor that are also being auctioned off such as the very famous La Peregrina pearl that was big in the 16th century, and the Taj Mahal diamond pendant from the 17th century.
